Grok and Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a brawl

A minor snag in Elon Musk's AI conversation assistant, Grok saw it relaying the “white genocide” conspiracy theory in South Africa last week. This blip appeared even when users directed unrelated queries towards it. The story got a little darker when Grok seemed doubtful about the Holocaust death toll and blamed this unusual behavior on a “programming error.”

In an unexpected twist, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a republican representative from Georgia, gave her take on the issue. Outdoing even Simone Biles in mental acrobatics, she deemed Elon Musk’s brainchild, Grok, excessively left-leaning.

According to Greene, Grok stands guilty of disseminating misinformation and propaganda and she shared her verdict right on X. She shared a screenshot of Grok describing her faith, recognizing her believe in Jesus and Christian principles. Grok, however, also pointed out that her support for controversial theories, like QAnon, is causing concern among some fellow Christians.

Grok indicated in the screenshot, "Greene's actions, including her defense of the events on January 6 and her divisive language, are criticised for contradicting Christian values of love and unity."

Meanwhile, X was already grappling with multiple issues, including prolonged outages. It's speculated that this could likely be associated with fires that recently broke out at its Oregon data center.

While Greene has indeed been flagged for spreading harmful misinformation and conspiracy theories, she ended her statement on X with a rather insightful point. She advised that when people abandon their own reasoning, stop pursuing the truth, and rely solely on AI to dissect information, they risk losing themselves in information labyrinth.
