It has been said that Meta is creating a stand-alone AI chatbot app
Reports are buzzing that Meta is on the move to launch a dedicated app for Meta AI, their intelligent robot friend. This move is expected to prep them up to compete more effectively with other AI-chat wizards like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.
As claimed by CNBC, we could be just one fiscal quarter away (between April - June) from having a Meta AI app all by itself. Right now, the only way we can access Meta AI is through a website or via Meta's suite of apps that includes Facebook and WhatsApp.
Further, Meta includes a secret ingredient by contemplating a Meta AI subscription service. According to CNBC, this service will extend unseen features to the AI assistant. The cost of this is currently unknown, though.
A key element of Meta's strategy to control the AI business is Meta AI, which has an incredible 700 million monthly active users. Llama and other "open" models have been introduced by Meta. Based on Meta, Llama might provide a network that could be a strong rival to OpenAI's.
Meta is also kicking things up a notch by organizing its first-ever AI-centered developer convention, LlamaCon slated for the end of April.
